Lappland, Finland – Arkkitehtitoimisto Louekari
Built area: 55.5 sqm
Year built: 2012
Photography: Lauri Louekari and Kaisa Siren

The hideaway consists separately of a living room and sauna, and wood shed. A terrace in the middle provides access to both cabins. Occupants are sure to enjoy its warm and cosy interior. Warm white lighting, wood furniture, accessorized with furry carpet and chair covers would make you want to stay inside for the entire day. Wouldn’t it?
This is a “modern architecture meets traditional timber structures” project. All materials, except the solar panels and composting toilet, were from local firms making this architecture a pride for the Finnish.
