- 7 sticks of 2-1/2cm diameter, 1 meter long Bamboo
- 8 sticks of 2-1/2cm diameter, 800mm long Bamboo

Instructions
Step 1: Plan Your Trellis Design
Decide on the shape and size of your trellis. A simple grid pattern is effective and easy to create. Sketch your design to help visualize the end result.
Step 2: Measure and Cut Bamboo
Use your tape measure to confirm the lengths of your bamboo sticks. If any pieces need to be shortened, mark them with your tape measure and cut them with the cutter. Make sure your cuts are straight to ensure stable construction.
Step 3: Create the Frame
Lay out the 1-meter long bamboo sticks on the ground to form the vertical length of the trellis. Space them evenly apart according to your design preference, typically between 20 to 30 cm apart.
Step 4: Attach Horizontal Bars
Take the 800mm long sticks and position them horizontally across the vertical sticks. Start at the bottom, leaving about 30 cm from the ground for the first horizontal bar, and continue placing them at regular intervals up to the top.
Step 5: Secure the Joints
Use nylon cord to secure the points where the bamboo sticks intersect. Tie a lashing knot to ensure the joints are tight and the structure is stable. Double-check each knot to make sure they are secure and the frame is rigid.
Step 6: Strengthen the Trellis
For additional stability, add diagonal bamboo braces at the corners of the trellis frame. Measure and cut additional bamboo sticks as needed, then lash them at the corners, crossing from top to bottom.
Step 7: Install the Trellis
Once your trellis is assembled, choose its location in the garden. Dig shallow holes to place the vertical sticks into the ground. Ensure the trellis is upright and stable. You can use stones or soil to firm up the base around each bamboo stick.
Step 8: Plant Climbing Plants
