Gorgeous wall sculptures made from reclaimed woods

Reclaimed Wood Tree Slice Wall Sculpture by Wood Slice Designs
Wall sculptures made from reclaimed wood

Wall sculptures are three-dimensional works of art that are intended to be displayed on walls. They are often made from materials like wood, metal, or glass, and can range in size from small to large. Wall sculptures can be hung alone or in groupings, and can be used to add visual interest to any space.

Well, in the previous article, we featured a luxurious wood sliced mirror, a mirror that was decorated with equal wood slices. Now, we will be featuring wall sculptures from reclaimed woods.

No – no trees were harmed in the making of these beautiful works of art. 🙂 Instead, Oregon-based Wild Slice Designs searches for dead and discarded tree limbs to create these wall sculptures. And they just make us appreciate nature even more!

Ben and Nicole Labonte are the owners of a business that creates wall sculptures from reclaimed wood. For the Labonte’s, these sculptures are a form of art that allows them to express and share their love for nature.

They also work with clients to create truly unique and meaningful pieces! The couple has been in business for years, and their work has been featured in numerous magazines and online publications.

Each sculpture is unique, and each one tells a story. The Labonte’s take great pride in their work, and they hope that their sculptures will bring joy to those who see them.

In addition to creating wall sculptures, Labonte’s also offer other services such as custom furniture design and home staging.

Their sculptures are made from wood that would otherwise be thrown away or left to rot. The Labonte’s see this as an opportunity to give new life to the wood and to create something beautiful.

Our creative process varies from piece to piece. Sometimes we are trying to create the feeling of movement while other times we base a piece around a particular slice or branch of wood that speaks to us. While other times we simply use the tree slices as a backdrop for an inspirational saying/quote. In all the pieces we try to capture a free-form shape and express a warm earth-based feeling.

Wood slices make excellent additions to any nature-themed decor. They can be used as coasters, trivets, or even simple decorations. To ensure your wood slices last as long as possible, it is important to properly care for them.

The process of making these projects are simple. Like the wood-sliced mirror, these projects need to cut the tree branches into equal thicknesses. This will ensure that the project will have a flat surface. After cutting them into equal thicknesses, these parts will be sanded and will be polished with a wood sealer.

Then after the pieces, have been prepared, they are then put together to form a wall sculpture using adhesive. This type of sculpture can be very intricate, and it takes a lot of skill to put together.

Different wood colours can create beautiful patterns when combined together. This is especially true when you use light and dark colours together. The contrast can make for a very striking effect. You can use this to your advantage when choosing designs for your wall sculptures. 🙂

Would you love to have one of these beautiful wall sculptures for your home? If you do, you surely won’t regret it!
