Note that not all Bambusa heterostachya are variegated. You need to select the specific cultivar (cv) 'variegated', if you want this appearance. Don't get me wrong here... the non-variegated cultivar is also an excellent 'hedger' with an attractive foliage colour but, for my money, I'll take the variegated variety every time :)]]></video:description>

<video:title><![CDATA[DIY Vertical Garden Planter]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[A vertical garden planter box. Vertical gardening makes a lot of sense in more than one way. Small spaces is something a lot of us can relate with because it hits close to home. If you live in a condo or an apartment with a small balcony or patio, you can still garden. Simply do it vertically.

For some gardeners, just the idea of caring for many different types of plants over a large area in their yard can be tiring.
With vertical gardens, you can reign in your plants into a smaller, easier to care for area, while still keeping plant diversity.
Another advantage of establishing a vertical garden is it allows you to experiment growing different types of plants without the
need to dig up a larger portion of your yard or garden.

This vertical garden planter is small enough to fit on a small balcony or patio and will fit through a standard size door way.
The planter boxes are a size that makes them perfect for picking up and moving from an outdoor setting to an indoor setting depending on the weather. The only additional parts needed to do so would be the inclusion of a bottom for the base unit. Simple and easy! Nice.

<video:description><![CDATA[There is an old tree stump in my yard. I decided that instead of removing the stump, I would rather put it to some use and grow some flowers in it. One tip that I would recommend is before adding the dirt, give it some drainage holes out of the back. Whenever it rains a lot this ends up getting too much water.

Smear vaseline around the trunk of the tree to stop ants from climbing up and protecting the aphids/scale. This leaves the pests vulnerable to being eaten by predator insects and thus reducing the numbers in an organic way without using harsh pesticides. Enjoy :)

<video:title><![CDATA[Garden Tools Rack - How To Build An OldSchool Organizer]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[https://repairs101.ca/garden-tools-rack-how-to-build-an-oldschool-organizer/
Easy shop project for home or school : build a garden tools shelf to organize your tool shed, garage or basement. Watch how I turn a couple of salvage boards and some screws into a handy storage rack perfect for hanging large/long gardening tools out of the way. #tools #gardentools #handyman
Transcript provided for the hearing impaired:
Alright so today on Repairs101 I’m going to show you how I made this handy garden tool organizer out of a couple of boards and a handful of screws.
So I decided enough was enough and that I wasn’t going to store my garden tools in a garbage pail anymore. I still had a couple of salvage boards left and I cut some triangle braces out of scraps. Then I measured and marked to fit the gussets.
Use your speed square to draw parallel lines quickly. Next I found the points on that line to drill my holes.
You know, I chose to use the hole saw and table saw for this project because they make clean and uniform cuts.
You can do all the cutting for this project with a hand saw and a coping saw or with a jigsaw.
Normally I would use a more sophisticated joint like a dado or a mitre joint but for this I thought a simple butt joint clamped with glue and screws was exactly what we needed.
Clean up carpenter’s glue before it cures with a clean damp cloth.
Then I glued in all the gussets and drew them together using the woodscrews.
Always drill out holes before you drive in screws, otherwise you end up with pieces that won’t mate together, split wood and broken screws.
You see I put most of the evidence it’s salvaged wood here on the back where no one will ever see it.
Alright, thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe!]]></video:description>
