Dick Clark’s Flintstone House

Malibu California USA  –  Architect unknown

Emmys, Grammys, induction into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 7,500 hours of television time! An amazing legacy that all added up to make Dick Clark one of the richest men in Hollywood, with interests in a wide range of businesses, including restaurants, theatres and real estate.

Do you still accept clams?

The 82-year old TV icon – known as America’s oldest teenager, built and lived in this one of a kind house in Malibu, in the final years of his life. Located at Malibu the home sits on 23-acres of incredibly gorgeous land with views of the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, Boney Mountains, and Serrano Valley.

The house looks every bit the suburban Bedrock palace. Comprised of only a single bedroom and two bathrooms, the home was clearly built for easy living as is the landscaping.

The home was listed for sale shortly before Clark died in April, 2012 for $3.5 million. A year later it was discounted to $3,25 million and judging from an email we recently received is still on the market, now looking for offers around $2.5 million.

The home is seriously unique and undoubtedly needs that ‘one in a million’ buyer to appreciate it enough to want to live in it. On the other hand, it would make an awesome weekend rental property given it’s history and uniqueness.
